Fundsters interested in value investing, particularly in small-cap companies, may want to take a look at this morning's Wall Street Journal "Fund Track" column. Nat Worden highlights the Olstein Strategic Opportunities Fund [see profile], an $18 million activist value fund.

Eric Heyman, director of research and portfolio manager with Olstein Funds, discussed several of the fund's holdings (including Entegris, Finish Line and Ruby Tuesday), and Greg Carlson offered Morningstar's take on the fund.
