Franklin Resources [see profile] has unveiled a full-fledged corporate Web site. The site, www.franklinresources.com, went live last month.

The new site is a spin-off of the "About us" section on www.franklintempleton.com, the site that showcases products for U.S.-based investors. The Franklin Templeton site itself underwent a redesign last December.

Boston-based Sapient helped San Mateo, California-headquartered Franklin with the design of the two Web sites.

"We wanted to have a destination for investors and prospects to learn more about us as a firm and the capabilities we have on a global basis," David McSpadden, senior vice president of global advisory services, told The MFWire.com.

"Some clients who know us very well are not aware of how global a firm we are," he added.

The links on the left side of the corporate Web site's home page lists the regions in which Franklin does business. Also, one of the links under "Company Overview" is labeled "Our Extensive Global Presence."
