Independence Investments LLC, a leading institutional manager of actively managed fundamental and quantitative equity strategies, is pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jamie) DuPont as vice president in its sales and relationship management group, effective immediately.

In his new position with Boston-based Independence, Mr. DuPont, 32, is responsible for cultivating and enhancing the relationships the firm currently enjoys with existing clients and within the pension consulting community. Mr. DuPont reports to James L. Tovey, senior vice president and director of sales and relationship management at Independence, who oversees a 10-person sales and client service team.
