It's official. The PIMCO name has been erased from the PIMCO equity funds, as planned, the company announced.

Effective April 1, only PIMCO's Bill Gross-led bond funds retain the PIMCO name. The multi-manger funds formerly known by the PIMCO name have been rebranded the Allianz Funds in line with the advisor's parent, Allianz AG.

The former PIMCO Advisors website has also been rebranded as www.allianzinvestors.com.

Fund shareholders of both the PIMCO bond funds and the Allianz Funds can expect all communications to come from Allianz Global Investors.
