Lewis Sanders, chief executive officer and director of Alliance Capital, will take over as chairman on December 31 after current chairman Bruce Calvert leaves the company's board, the company announced in a release.

Current Chief Operating Officer and director, Gerald Lieberman, is also now the New York-based money manager's president.
