UK-based money manager
Amvescap has named
Hal Liebes as chief compliance officer.
Liebes reports to Erick Holt, general counsel of Amvescap. Holt previously served as general counsel and chief compliance officer at Amvescap, said Bill Hensel, Amvescap spokesman.
In his new role, Liebes will coordinate compliance across Amvescap's units, including AIM Investments, Amvescap Retirement, Atlantic Trust and Invesco. Each unit's compliance officer reports to the unit's respective counsel, but Liebes will keep tabs on the activities of all units, said Hensel.
Liebes, who will be based in New York City, leaves a position at Credit Suisse Asset Management.
CSAM has not yet named a replacement for Liebes, said spokeswoman Suzanne Fleming.
