The team at
Great Place to Work has
unveiled their 2023
Best Workplaces for Parents lists. One list includes
70 large workplaces (with 1,000 employees or more each), while the other includes 30
small and medium workplaces (with fewer than 1,000 employees each). This year's lists are based on confidential survey responses from 1.3 million confidential survey responses from employees (including more than 612,000 working parents) from Great Place to Work certified companies. (Certification
involves conducting an employee experience survey and filling out a company culture and workforce questionnaire.)
In the asset management business, companies on the 2023 list of the best large workplaces for parents include:
Nationwide at 56 (down from 33
last year) and
Baird at 60 (down from 57).
According to the Great Place to Work team, companies on the lists "create great work experiences not just for full-time managers who are parents, but also for their part-time employees on the front lines who have children, for parents who've just joined and those who've spent their whole career there, for parents of every race and ethnicity, gender, neurotype, or other demographic in the organizations."
"We look at it all," the Great Place to Work team writes. "Companies with the broadest set of parents who report positive workplace experience receive the highest rankings."
The 2023 list also includes at least two firms in the retirement plan recordkeeping business, as
highlighted by 401kWire, a sister publication to MFWire.
