A C-suiter is moving on after about 13 years with
Russell Investments [
profile].
John McMurray left the Seattle-based asset manager last month,
MFWire has learned. A banking industry veteran, he served as Russell's chief risk officer and chief audit executive, and he was a member of the private equity-backed firm's management committee.
Howard Surloff, chief legal officer at Russell, did not return calls for comment. Spokespeople for Russell did not respond to a request for comment.
McMurray joined Russell back in 2010 after working in senior roles with Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, J.P. Morgan Chase, WaMu, BofA, and Countrywide. He also worked with BancPLUS, Crestar, and Freddie Mac. He is an alumnus of MIT, Trinity University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He also spent a decade teaching applied mathematics and finance at the University of Washington.
