The folks at a publicly traded bank's mutual fund servicing arm recently welcomed a senior ETF industry veteran to the board of a mutual fund series trust.

Last Thursday,
Maureen Quill, executive director of registered funds at Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based
UMB Fund Services,
confirmed that Boston-based
Jim Ross is
joining the board of trustees of UMB's Investment Managers Series Trust (
IMST). Ross serves as president and CEO of
Winnisquam Capital LLC and as non-executive chairman and audit committee chair of
Fusion Acquisition Corp II, a fintech-focused SPAC.
Quill lauds Ross as "a natural fit to join UMB's IMST board."
"Jim is an outstanding addition to our board and we are excited to work with him going forward," states
Ashley Rabun, chairwoman of IMST's board.
Ross describes joining IMST's board as "an easy decision."
"I look forward to hitting the ground running and using my ETF experience to assist IMST's clients and inform the board's strategy," Ross states.
Ross previously
served as chair of Fusion Acquisition Corp II's predecessor, Fusion Acquisiton Corp. Earlier, he spent 27 years with State Street and SSGA, rising to executive vice president and chairman of its global SPDR ETF business before
retiring in 2020. He started his career as an accountant at Ernst & Young and is an alumnus of Bentley University.
