Earlier this month, the team at San Antonio, Texas-based
Victory Capital welcomed former
QuantumBlack product director and associate partner
Evgeny Shabashov to the head of digital for the direct investor business role.
A spokesperson for Victory did not return a call for comment. Nor did the folks at QuantumBlack, a McKinsey and Company subsidiary, respond to an emailed inquiry.
Shabashov was with QuantumBlack from January of 2020 to October of 2021.
Nikhil Sudan, president of Victory's direct investor business,
posted, "Evgeny will accelerate our transformation of digital experiences for our investors and be based in San Antonio."
"I look forward to working with you!"
Sudan adds.
Prior to joining both Victory and QuantumBlack, Shabashov was with McKinsey and Company proper as an associate and then engagement manager between 2016 and 2020. In 2015, he briefly served as an MBA intern in market intelligence and analytics for the Burger King Corporation. He was with McKinsey as a senior business analyst from 2012 to 2014. Between 2008 and 2012, he served as an analyst for both Gazprombank and Halcyon Advisors.
Shabashov is an alumnus of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the New Economic School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
