A management consulting veteran is taking over distribution and more at a $631-billion-AUM, publicly traded asset manager.

confirmed that, on January 4,
Onur Ezran will
join New York City-based
AB and AllianceBernstein Holding as head of the global client group. Erzan will succeed
Bob Keith, current head of global client group AB. Keith will assume an advisor role in the new year and retire from AB on June 30, 2021.
Erzan currently serves as senior partner at
McKinsey, co-leading the firm's wealth and asset management practice in North America. A McKinsey spokesperson did not immediately return a call for comment.
In his new role at AB, Ezran will be responsible for all client services, sales, and marketing, in addition to product strategy, management, and development worldwide. He will report to Seth Bernstein.
"We are confident that Onur will bring a valued perspective on strategy and growth, and his broad viewpoint will help AB plan for change in our industry," stated Bernstein.

A graduate from Middle East Technical University and Columbia business school, Erzan has served at McKinsey for nearly 20 years as senior partner and partner.
A graduate from Brown University, Keith has served at AB for nearly 25 years.
