A Brand Experience Chief Joins a Big Apple Fund Firm

Reported by Lauren Corradi

The J.P. Morgan Asset Management [profile] team recently welcomed a high level marketing hire from a nearby insurer.

Kathryn Noel Ferrero
J.P. Morgan
Global Head of Brand Experience, Asset and Wealth Management
Kathryn Ferrero has joined New York City-based J.P. Morgan as global head of brand experience for JPMAM and J.P. Morgan Private Bank. She previously served as chief marketing officer at New York City-based Equitable. Our sister publication, 401kWire, previously reported on the news.

A spokesperson for Equitable did not immediately return a call for comment.

At J.P. Morgan, Wylie Kain most recently held the role prior to Ferrero, and has since left the firm, a spokesperson for JPMAM confirms to MFwire.

In her new role, Ferrero will be responsible for all aspects of brand, including proposition and identity development, research, execution, media activation, and impact measurement.

"I am thrilled to be joining J.P. Morgan as the Global Head of Brand Experience for the Asset and Wealth Management business," Ferrero wrote in a LinkedIn post. "I have admired J.P. Morgan for many years and am excited to be joining an incredible team."

“And to my colleagues at Equitable, I can't thank you enough for the last 16 years. I will be cheering you on from the sidelines!” Ferrero added.

"Kathryn will bring a wealth of financial services experience to J.P. Morgan, spanning strategy, distribution, product development and marketing," stated Richard Chambers, chief marketing officer for J.P. Morgan Asset and Wealth Management. "We look forward to the positive impact we know she’ll have on our global offering."

Ferrero (nee Wienslaw) graduated from Villanova University. She served at Equitable for nearly four years as chief marketing officer. Prior, she served at AXA, (Equitable’s former brand) for more than 12 years in a variety of roles, including: managing director and chief operating officer, group retirement business; vice president, head of retirement strategy and business development; assistant vice president, retirement strategy; director and chief of staff, retirement and life product development; manager, corporate strategy; senior retirement training specialist; and individual retirement regional sales associate.
