The folks at Pimco and T. Rowe Price have good cause for some remote or socially distanced celebrating today.

Those firms and a pair of their PMs are the winners of the 2020 U.S. Morningstar Awards for Investing Excellence, revealed today by Morningstar's Sarah Bush (director of manager research for North America) and lauded today and throughout the week on CNBC's Power Lunch show. Nominees were revealed a week ago.

Jerome A. Clark T. Rowe Price Portfolio Manager

Repeat nominee Jerome Clark, founder of T. Rowe's TDF franchise and outgoing co-PM of its TDF, won the "outstanding portfolio manager" award. Mohit Mittal, managing director and co-PM of both Pimco Investment Grade Credit Bond and Pimco Total Return, landed the "rising talent" award. And T. Rowe as a firm won the "exemplary stewardship" award.

These are M*'s second annual U.S. Awards for Investing Excellence. Last year the M* team rebooted their longstanding Fund Manager of the Year Awards in the U.S., transforming them into the Awards for Investing Excellence.
