An
Aladdin leader is leaving New York City-based
BlackRock [
profile] after more than 27 years with the company.
Jody Kochansky , who was most recently head of the Aladdin product group, is moving on from the giant asset manager,
MFWire has learned. Before becoming head of Aladdin at the asset manager, he had also served as head of portfolio management tools, co-head of analytics, and head of equity trading for Americas. Additionally, he had worked in the fixed income portfolio management group, and had also worked with Aladdin's risk reporting platform.
A BlackRock spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.
"I have learned so much from all the roles that I was able to play along the way including risk analyst, computer programmer, mortgage portfolio manager, software architect, Lehman liquidator, solutions builder and overall MacGyver impersonator," Kochansky
stated in a LinkedIn post. "While I have savored every role, BlackRock's true secret is the people. We have shared battles and scars, triumphs and trophies — always with integrity and fun."
Prior to his time at Blackrock, Kochansky was a consultant at Andersen Consulting. He holds a BA in Economics from Duke University.
