Marco De Freitas, previously managing director and head of digital, products and partnerships at
TD Ameritrade, recently moved over to
Vanguard as head of client experience and digital for its retail investor group,
MFWire has learned.

De Freitas worked for TD Ameritrade for almost 10 years. A spokesperson at TD Ameritrade didn’t immediately return a call for comment.
In his new role at Vanguard, De Freitas "will build upon Vanguard's commitment to providing world-class client service and experience, and collaborate with existing business, technology, and innovation teams to simplify and reimagine the retail client experience across all channels," Chas Kurtz, a Vanguard spokesperson, explained via an emailed statement. De Freitas now reports to
Karin Risi, managing director in Vanguard's retail investor group.
Prior to Vanguard and TD Ameritrade, De Freitas served at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Arthur D. Little and Alcoa. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP in São Paulo Brazil, a Master's Degree in international studies from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton.
