The world's largest asset manager is swallowing half of an insurer's mutual fund lineup.
Eight
State Farm [
profile] mutual funds will merge into
BlackRock [
profile] funds, pending shareholder approval, regulatory filings
confirm. There will be a special shareholder meeting on September 14 to discuss the proposed mergers.

The eight State Farm funds being merged include: the
State Farm S&P 500 Index Fund, the
State Farm Bond Fund, the
State Farm Small Cap Index Fund, the
State Farm International Index Fund, the
State Farm Equity Fund, the
State Farm Small/Mid Cap Equity Fund, the
State Farm International Equity Fund, and
State Farm Tax Advantaged Bond Fund.
According to Morningstar,
State Farm also has 10 other mutual funds.
