Patrick Johnson, senior vice president with
Dreyfus [
profile], has left the New York city- based asset manager,
MFWire learns.
Both Johnson and a spokesperson for Dreyfus were not available for comment.
Johnson has spent almost 40 years in the asset management industry, and he spent more than 21 years with Dreyfus. He started there in 1997 as a regional vice president overseeing Michigan. He was then promoted to executive vice president and central division manager, later became in charge of strategic business development, then northeast divisional manager. In 2009 Johnson was promoted to senior vice president, overseeing all of Michigan and Indiana.
A graduate of Michigan State, over his career Johnson previously worked at Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter Reynolds, and PaineWebber.
