Seattle, Washington-based Russell Investments, has brought on Robert Hostetter as the asset managers new global head of product. The position is newly created, with the goal that Hostetter will better organize the firm's various offerings worldwide.

Hostetter will will be responsible for the entire product team worldwide. He will report directly to Russell CEO and chairman of the board Michelle Seitz. The two have worked together in the past, at William Blair.

Previously, Hostetter has worked as global head of product strategy for AllianceBernstein, and before that was in business strategy and product management for William Blair (Seitz left William Blair just ten months ago). In addition to this new position, Hostetter currently serves as a senior advisor for Everstrong Capital.

Hostetter is a graduate of Duke University, and received his MBA from Northwestern University.
