Wells Fargo is saying goodbye to a Minneapolis, Minnesota-based fundster after more than 22 years.
David Messman , assistant general counsel, is retiring and departing from Wells Fargo. He joined back in 1996 after serving as branch chief for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. At Wells, he led the legal team supporting Wells Fargo Asset Management, and he served as senior vice president and chief legal office for Wells Fargo Funds Management.
A spokesperson for Wells Fargo was not able to immediately comment.
Core Cotton, SVP and associate general counsel at Wells, did not respond to a request for comment.
Messman obtained his BA in journalism and political science from the University of Minnesota, and he later attended University of Minnesota Law School. He started his law career at Faegre & Benson LLP.
