This week the team at the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) will host their New York Roadshow. The event kicks off with a cocktail reception tomorrow evening at the penthouse lounge at 230 FIFTH, followed by a seminar the next day at the Metropolitan Club. On Wednesday, also in New York City, Crain's InvestmentNews team will host their second annual Icons and Innovators luncheon, preceded by an invitation-only Innovations Summit in the morning. The event, which will be held at the University Club, will honor the 2017 winners of the awards, two icons and 18 innovators. The luncheon will feature a "fireside chat" with one of those icons: Thomas James, chairman emeritus of Raymond James. Also on Wednesday, the Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF) team will continue their Director Discussion Series, this time with an open forum over lunch at Drinker Biddle & Reath's offices in Philadelphia. The event is only for mutual funds' independent directors and chief compliance officers.
Also on Wednesday, the Mutual Fund Education Alliance (MFEA) team will kick off the MFEA Product Summit in Denver with an evening cocktail reception at the Denver Marriott South at Park Meadows. The summit will continue the next day with sessions at Charles Schwab's offices in nearby Lone Tree, Colorado. Speakers scheduled to appear include: Greg Bottjer, senior managing director of global product at Nuveen; Dennis Bowden, managing director of U.S. mutual fund research at Strategic Insight; Darryl Celkupa, head of U.S. retail business at Matthews Asia; Jim Cove, senior vice president of investment strategies and management at Natixis and chair of MFEA's product council; Jim Erceg, vice president and head of product for North America at T. Rowe Price; Kelly Hagg, co-head of global product strategy and development at Janus Henderson; Jim Hinkley, head of product development at Macquarie Investment Management; Kimber Lintz, director of MFEA; Jeff Norton, vice president of channel strategy at Schwab; Adam Rochlin, senior vice president of fixed income and co-head of investment products and solutions at OppenheimerFunds; and Rachel Schnoll, managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

On Friday Schwab president and CEO Walt Betteringer and executive vice president and chief financial officer Peter Crawford will present Schwab's "2018 Spring Business Update" via webcast.
