informa's Matt Hougan and his team already have their giant Inside ETFs conference underway in Hollywood, Florida. The four-day event began yesterday and is sponsored by Exchange Traded Concepts (ETC), First Trust, BlackRock's iShares, MSCI, Nasdaq, Invesco's PowerShares, S&P Global's S&P Dow Jones Indices, State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), Vanguard, and a host of other companies.

Tomorrow Susan Wyderko and her Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF) team will kick off their 2018 Directors' Institute. The sold-out, three-day event is being held at the Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Panelists and speakers scheduled to take the main stage include: Josh Deringer, partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath; Michael Downer, senior lawyer at Capital Group; Brian Harris, chief compliance officer of SSgA; Jeff Keil, principal member of Keil Fiduciary Strategies; Diana McCarthy, partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath; Marty McGee, chief financial officer of Fidelity Investments; Jessica Palmer, trustee Goldman Sachs Funds; Mark Perlow, partner at Dechert; David Smith, executive vice president for policy and legal affairs for the MFDF; David Trerice, partner at PwC; Christopher Wilson, trustee for Invesco Funds; and Robin Yonis, CEO of Pacific Life Fund Advisors. Tomorrow, before the MFDF conference begins in the afternoon, the trade group's team will host a "Nuts and Bolts of Being a Director" program, also at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale.

On Saturday and Sunday Chip Roame's Tiburon Strategic Advisors will bring asset and wealth management industry leaders on Tiburon Impact Adventures 2018. The two-day event will be in San Antonio Del Mar, Mexico, and Tiburon will be partnering with the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) organization. The idea behind "Tiburon Impact Adventures 2.0" is "connecting financial leaders with global basic needs."
