A pair of mutual fund industry accounting firms are starting 2018 with brand new offices.

Effective January 8, the folks at BBD moved their Philadelphia headquarters to the third floor of 1835 Market Street, what their team describes as a "significant upgrade and expansion." Their new space has nearly 20,000 square feet, about double the size of their old HQ (which was on floor 26 of the same building).

Then on January 11, Cohen & Co's Chris Bellamy and Corey McLaughlin (co-presidents of investment industry services) revealed the opening of the Cleveland-based accounting firm's new office in downtown Chicago at 101 N. Wacker Dr. Vince Curttright, formerly a partner at RSM, joined Cohen this month to lead that Chicago office. Bellamy calls the Chi-Town expansion "the next logical step in [Cohen & Co's] growth strategy" and notes that the firm already had clients in the city.

Crain's Cleveland Business also reported on Cohen & Co's new office.
