Massachusetts isn't the only state close to
Fidelity's [
profile] heart.

Last week Fidelity CEO
Abby Johnson told business leaders in Providence that the Boston Behemoth feels "very at home here in Rhode Island." And Johnson touted the importance of "kaizen", the Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement also adhered to by her father, Fidelity chairman Ned Johnson.
"Change is something that is expected and, therefore, not resisted," Johnson said, the
Providence Journal reports.
Johnson was speaking with Rhode Island Governor
Gina Raimondo in a Q&A session at the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce's annual economic outlook luncheon. Chamber president Laurie White led the session at the luncheon, which last year featured a keynote speech from Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen.
Fidelity has more than 4,000 employees in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The Boston-based mutual fund giant has big operations in a number of states, including: Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Utah, as well as Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
