With the Ivy Funds getting set for a July 1 launch, Waddell & Reed is getting its ducks in a row. Ivy Funds Distributor, the distribution arm of the Kansas City-based broker-dealer has tapped J. Bradley Ross as executive vice president and national sales manager.

Ross was most recently at ING Funds where he was senior vice president and national sales manager. He also has held sales and marketing posts at Voyaguer Asset Management, Equitable Distributable, Van Kampen American Capital, Bankers Trust Company, and Alliance Capital Management.

He reports to Thomas W. Butch, president and CEO of Ivy Funds Distributor. Butch is also chief marketing officer of Waddell & Reed. "His leadership and experience will be invaluable to our sales efforts as we take the new Ivy Funds to market," said Butch.

Waddell & Reed Ivy Investment Company is the investment adviser to the Ivy Funds. That unit was formed last December when Waddell & Reed Financial acquired Mackenzie Investment Management. The Ivy Funds and the W&R Funds then combined under the Ivy Funds brand.
