Jen Connelly, founder and CEO of
JCPR,
confirms that the midtown Manhattan-based agency now goes by the name
JConnelly.
Ian Keldoulis, vice president of marketing at JConnelly, says that they've "pretty much refreshed everything;" that includes their own website, now
jconnelly.com.
"We'll be rebranding all of our other communications materials," including letterhead, business cards, and the offices themselves, Keldoulis tells
MFWire. "It's not just a logo change."
Keldoulis says the rebranding is about "changing the perception" of the firm, to "deemphasize PR a little bit" and
highlight JConnelly's other specialties, like graphic design and social media work.
"There's still PR in our DNA, but we're not just limited to PR," Keldoulis says. "We do a lot more."
At the same time, the new brand "still maintains some of the brand equity" of the firm and its founder.
The rebranding has been a focus for the JConnelly team "over the last six months," Keldoulis says.
"All the design work and all of the thinking behind it and the strategy and execution, that's all us," Keldoulis adds.
Keldoulis describes the new brand as "a lot fresher" and more reflective of the firm's culture.
"We may have been hiding our light under a bushel for a while," Keldoulis says.
The 13-year-old communications and marketing agency now has more than 70 employees.
