A new national sales manager took over a key channel at Newport Beach, California-based Pimco [profile] this fall.

Our sister publication, 401kWire, reports that in September Chicago-based Jamie Bentley became national retirement sale manager in September. Bentley, formerly a vice president and DC I-O external advisor consultant in the central territory, succeeded Sean Murray, who moved to BlackRock.

Bentley has five direct reports on his team, Pimco spokeswoman confirms Agnes Crane, and reports directly to Rick Fulford, head of U.S. retirement Pimco.

Bentley joined Pimco in 2011 after working with Mercer, Morningstar, Towers Watson, and what is now Deutsche Asset Management. He is an alumnus of Loras College.
