MFS Investment Management has extended its service relationship with Morningstar Associates with a new deal to provide Advisor Workstation, an online investment planning system, for its affiliated advisors.

MFS Investment currently offers Morningstar's online advice service to more than one million participants in more than 8,500 retirement plans through the MFS Retirement Access Web site. Morningstar also provides MFS with custom mutual fund and variable annuities/life data feeds and Retirement Profile pages.

"Advisor Workstation's flexible architecture, innovative portfolio analysis and asset allocation features as well as its detailed historical investment information make it an essential tool for our affiliated advisors," said Bruce Harrington, vice president of product development for MFS Investment Management.

With Advisor Workstation, MFS Affiliated Advisors can research MFS mutual funds and variable annuities/life subaccounts using more than 150 data points; Morningstar statistics such as the Morningstar Rating and Morningstar Style Box; build hypothetical illustrations; produce additional client communication materials and tap a flexible needs and risk assessment survey.
