Alex McCulloch is expanding his team at
TCW [
profile].
McCulloch confirms that on Monday
Yuri Khalif joined the private client services team as a managing director, based in New York City. And McCulloch's trying to fill wholesaling spots aimed at the traditional broker-dealer and independent B-D space, too.
An alumnus of J.P. Morgan, Deutsche, a Morgan Stanley subsidiary, and SEI, two years ago Khalif
joined Hatteras Funds [
profile] as an executive director, covering consultants, RIAs and B-Ds in the Northeast.
MFWire could not immediately reach Hatteras distribution chief Mike Hutten for comment on how Khalif's duties are being handled.
Khalif succeeds
Kevin Barr, who shifted to TCW's consultant relations group at the beginning of 2014.
Khalif now reports to McCulloch, managing director and head of retail distribution and marketing at TCW. Khalif is one of three external wholesalers here in New York City. Together with four more externals in LA, as well as four internals (two each in LA and NYC), they cover the private client services channel, which includes RIAs, family offices and endowments and foundations.
Across the whole retail channel, Khalif's team now includes just over 20 external wholesalers, as well as some internals and other staff.
