A veteran mutual fund voice in Texas has moved to the Big Apple and to a different firm.
MFWire has learned that
Ivy McLemore joined
Guggenheim Partners last month as director of intermediary communications, where he'll be working with the mutual fund and ETF businesses in the private equity firm's Guggenheim Investments asset management arm. McLemore previously spent nearly 20 years in communications at Invesco and AIM before launching his eponymous communications firm in November 2012.
McLemore, formerly based in Houston, is now based in Guggenheim's Madison Avenue offices in New York City. And he now reports to
Jason Ghassemi, managing director at Guggenheim Partners.
"This was a great opportunity with a great firm, and here I am," McLemore tells
MFWire.
McLemore also spent six years chairing the ICI's public communications committee.
McLemore's move to Guggenheim comes a few months after Guggenheim's director of intermediary communications,
Jeaneen Terrio,
joined Invesco as U.S. head of media relations and internal communications.
