John Klein has left his position as president at
Guggenheim Investments, a spokesperson has confirmed for
MFWire.
Scott Minerd, the global chief investment officer, will reassume the role of chairman of Guggenheim Investments, according to the company spokesperson.
However, Guggenheim's board has not announced a new president for the asset management firm. The MFWire has not learned if there is an active search for the position and the spokesperson declined further on Klein's departure.
Klein joined Guggenheim in 2012. He was previously a partner at
Citigroup Private Equity, which he had joined in 2007. Before that, he had been a partner at
Jupiter Partners.
The Guggenheim spokesperson declined further comment on the matter, but according to a
Barron's article, Klein departed the firm due to allegations of sexual harassment.
