Harold Hughes, at U.S. retail head at AllianceBernstein has retired, MFWire has confirmed from executives within the firm. The company switchboard also confirmed his departure from the company.

So who is going to replace him? MFWire is on the case, but nobody seems to have anything to say on that.

Top industries recruiters have told MFWire that AllianceBernstein has been quiet on the hiring front, so it is uncertain whether the firm is yet looking to replace Hughes.

Requests for comments placed yesterday with AllianceBernstein have yet to be answered.
