CHICAGO--Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions as well as individual investors, is pleased to announce that its Nuveen Asset Management affiliate has hired David R. Wilson as Managing Director to lead Nuveen Asset Management’s newly formed Institutional Solutions Group. Reporting to Nuveen Asset Management President, Bill Huffman, Wilson and his team will be charged with crafting and delivering customized investment strategies to defined benefit pension plans, public funds, foundations and endowments, insurance companies and other institutional investors. Wilson will draw upon his experience in liability-driven investing and Nuveen Asset Management’s robust array of high-quality investment offerings from traditional and specialized equities, fixed income securities and real assets to serve clients.

“We are excited to share this next step in the evolution of Nuveen Asset Management in the institutional space”

“We are excited to share this next step in the evolution of Nuveen Asset Management in the institutional space,” said Huffman. “Beginning with the strategic acquisition of FAF Advisors in 2010, the addition of Bob Doll to our team in 2012, and now the creation of our Institutional Solutions Group, with David leading that effort, we are in a strong position to offer current and future institutional clients with what we believe to be a superior portfolio construction, management, and service experience. It comes as no surprise that institutional investors continue to be charged with developing innovative and sustainable strategies to address the ever-growing and complex demands on their portfolios. I am pleased that Dave and his team will have full access to the quality and breadth of our multi-asset class investment platform, which we believe positions us exceedingly well to serve the unique needs of institutional investors.”

Wilson comes to Nuveen from Cutwater Asset Management, where he managed more than $9 billion of customized mandates. Recognized as a thought leader in the institutional space, Wilson received his MBA in Finance from Fordham University, and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
