Ever since she was hired
last month as senior vice president, head of marketing for
Fred Alger [
profile],
Jeanne Sdroulas has been taking stock and preparing for the upcoming year.
She describes her work so far in this way:
I've been here a month. I am getting to know the nuances of the underlying portfolios and strategies, figuring out what needs to get done. I will take a step back, take a look at our investment team and our key strategies as well as their marketing. What I would like to do is raise our brand awareness further and broaden the markets that we serve.
Sdroulas will be responsible for all of Alger's marketing initiatives, web and messaging white papers. Regarding their initiatives related to the web, she said any comment is "too soon."
"My goal is to make sure Alger is even more broadly recognized both institutionally and in retail, that the breadth of our platform is clearly communicated and understood," she told
MFWire.
Sdroulas said her firm will "continue to serve our clients with increased communications from CEO Dan Chung. Try to develop more white papers and commentaries. Try to get that thought leadership out there. It gives advisors one more touch point to help educate their clients on trends, broad themes, like the energy sector or healthcare."
Among the firm's sweet spots are emerging markets and international, in which Alger had expanded the investment teams, according to Sdroulas
