Are alternatives going mainstream?
Investors are finally ready to listen to their advisOrs when they recommend alternative investments,

Natixis [
profile] survey showed that 72 percent of investors would consider alternative investments if advisOrs recommended them, a substantial increase from 35 percent a year ago and 19 percent in 2011.
Moreover, 85 percent of investors would invest if they understood those investments better. To top it off, many think traditional investing isn't cutting it, with 61 percent of investors surveyed saying they don't believe traditional stock and bond portfolios are optimal for managing investments and seeking returns.
