Christian Thwaites is no longer leading Sentinel Investments [profile], MFWire has learned.

Thwaites, who had been the head of the Vermont-based mutual fund shop since early 2005, left the firm today, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Thwaites declined to comment on his departure. Sentinel announced that Thomas Brownell, a senior vice president at the firm, will be the temporary CEO.
