Direxion Funds has named Eric Falkeis to the positions of president and chief operating officer.

Falkeis was formerly chief financial officer of US Bancorp Fund Services.

He was previously interviewed a year ago by MFWire on unveiling of US Bancorp's ETF multiple series trust.

Direxion is one of the three major players in the leveraged and inverse index mutual funds space.
