The price tag for phase one of
Principal's [
profile] new Des Moines, Iowa campus could be hefty, but artists renderings of the new building do look beautiful.
The first phase of the new headquarters could cost upwards of $284.7 million, according to the
Des Moines Register. This cost includes furnishings.
The first phase on construction is scheduled to be finished by 2017. The entire project is
scheduled to take 10 years, as reported earlier this year by our sister publication
401kWire.
This includes a brand new atrium at "Corporate 1," the companies main building, which will be a huge meeting space.
“This is going to give our workforce many more options to collaborate effectively, and our workforce knows that collaboration is one of the principles at Principal,” said Ralph Eucher, Principal's senior vice president for human resources and corporate services, reported the
Register “The most dramatic change will be the atrium.”
