Just slightly more than two weeks after
Jim Boyne was
named president of
Calamos, the firm is announcing the departure of a C-level executive.
According to an
SEC filing, Calamos reported that senior vice president and chief administrative officer
Randall Zipfel will leave the company by February 28th.
Zipfel
was responsible for a variety of operational and business support functions including investment support, company operations, information technology and business planning.
From 2006 until November, 2011, he served as senior vice president and chief operating officer of Investments and Information Technology. He previously served as chief operating officer for INVESCO-NAM, where he directed all administrative, financial, human resources and business/investment support functions.
According to federal filings, Zipel earned $878,649 in compensation in 2011.
Nick Calamos left his position as president and co-chief investment officer at his uncle's firm in
September.
