Rahm Emmanuel wants to use mutual funds as a way to fight the gun lobby.
The Chicago mayor and former White House chief of staff has asked for a mutual fund "black list" of gun manufacturers and divest from them, according to a
Fox News report.
Emmanuel sent a letter to executives at

Capital World Investments, according to
Fox.
"The time is now for everyone to do anything they can to stop these military-style guns and magazines from ending up on the street,” Emanuel said in a statement, according to the report. “This has to be about doing what is morally right and not what is financially beneficial to their bottom lines."
As one might predict, Emmanuel's words brought scorn from some on the Republican side of the aisle.
Texas Senator
Ted Cruz told gun manufacturer Smith and Wesson that he is "confident that there are numerous financial institutions in Texas that would be eager to earn your business."
