BlackRock [profile] is trying to bring the love back to its equity funds.

In an effort to woo investors back to its altering active stock funds, the world’s largest asset manager has poached Lawrence Kemp from UBS {profile], according to Bloomberg.

Kemp, who was head of U.S. large-cap growth equity at UBS, will be a managing director and head of BlackRock’s fundamental large- cap growth team when he joins the firm Dec. 10, according to the newswire.
