If
Tim Geithner, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, needs to call a friend
about the financial markets-related concerns, it would most likely be
BlackRock's Larry Fink.
The
The
Financial Times reports that Geithner's public diary showed
at least 49 conversations between the two men during an 18-month time
span.
The report also notes that the Treasury secretary has called Fink more
times than he has called executives from
Pimco,
Fidelity
and
AllianceBernstein.
Perhaps Geithner and Fink chat so often because the fundsters oversees the largest
money manager in the world with $3.6 trillion in assets.
