The Stork came through and delivered several new funds.

First Investors Management [profile] filed for its International Opportunities Bond Fund, which seeks total return consisting of income and capital appreciation. The fund will invest primarily in bonds. Brandywine Global Investment Management will serve as the subadvisor. Stephen Smith, David Hoffman, and John McIntyre will be the fund's PMs. [SEC Filing]

ING Investments [profile] filed for its Strategic Income Fund, which seeks to provide investors with a high level of current income. The fund will be managed by Christine Hurtsellers, Matthew Toms, and Michael Mata. [SEC Filing]

Yesterday, Henderson Global Investors launched the Dividend & Income Builder Fund. The fund looks to provide a level of income that exceeds the average yield on global stocks by investing in the dividend-paying equities of various companies. The fund will be managed by Alex Crooke, Job Curtis, Jenna Barnard, and John Pattullo. [SEC Filing]

The Reaper struck down a fund today.

Nuveen Investments [profile] will liquidate its Symphony Small-Mid Cap Core Fund. As of August 1, 2012, the fund has $1.53 million in AUM, according to Morningstar. The fund will stop accepting purchases from new and existing shareholders as of August 2, 2012. The fund will be liquidated as of the close of business on September 26, 2012. [SEC Filing]

Meanwhile, other funds are being or will be reorganized.

Boston Trust & Investment Management Company plans to rename two of their funds. The Boston Trust Balanced Fund will be renamed the Boston Trust Asset Management Fund, and the Walden Balanced Fund will be renamed the Walden Asset Management Fund.[SEC Filing]

Mairs and Power [profile] has entered in a distribution agreement with ALPS Distributors. [SEC Filing]

American New World Trust experienced some shifts in management, as Nicholas Grace replaced Robert Lovelace as a PM. [SEC Filing]

Forward Management [profile] will terminate Pictet Ltd as subadvisor from the Emerging Markets Fund. Forward Management will serve direct management responsibility with the fund. [SEC Filing]

BlackRock [profile] will rename its Emerging Market Debt Portfolio the Emerging Market Local Debt Portfolio. [SEC Filing]
