The AdvisorShares [profile] team is launching its 15th ETF, the AdvisorShares Global Alpha & Beta ETF. This new offering, reports Cinthia Murphy from IndexUniverse, was "designed to protect investors from losses in bearish market cycles through a trend-following strategy that own equities in good times and short-term debt instruments when markets are in turmoil."

Roger Nusbaum, chief investment officer of Your Source Financial, will PM the new ETF. AdvisorShares' new offering will have a 140-basis-point expense ratio and its benchmarks will be the S&P 500 Index and the Barclays Capital Aggregate Bond Index.
