DWS Investments is thinking of offering a global high yield strategy, said Doug Beck, president of DWS Funds and head of product management at DWS Investments, in an interview with The MFWire.com.

Whether the strategy will be offered in a mutual fund format has not yet been decided.

DWS's product menu includes close to 100 mutual funds.

Beck served as moderator at a media briefing hosted by DWS at its Park Avenue offices in New York City on Tuesday. The equities and fixed income outlook media briefing attracted 16 journalists.

Speakers included: Philip Condon, DWS' fixed income strategist and head of municipal bond portfolio management; Bill Chepolis, head of retail mortgage-backed securities; Owen Fitzpatrick, head of the US large cap growth equity team; and Francis Greywitt III, portfolio manager and co-head of RREEF's global infrastructure securities business.
