Mairs and Power last week made its first mutual fund launch in 50 years. The St. Paul, Minnseota-based asset manager rolled out the Mairs and Power Small Cap Fund.

The launch has not gone unnoticed. The Star Tribune picked up on the news.

Mairs and Power rolled out its debut mutual fund, the Mairs and Power Growth Fund in 1958 and in 1961 unveiled its second '40 Act product, the Mairs and Power Balanced Fund.
