John Rogers, Jr. Ariel Investments Chairman and CEO

Ariel Investments' [see profile] top executives were among Oprah Winfrey's guests at a private bash in Chicago Tuesday night, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Party-goers bid farewell to the Oprah Winfrey Show, which is wrapping up on May 25.

Ariel chairman and CEO John Rogers and president Mellody Hobson were spotted at the Four Seasons gathering, along with Michael Jordan, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Jerry Seinfeld, Rosie O'Donnell and Suze Orman. Other guests included Aretha Franklin and Alicia Keys.

"Designer dude Nate Berkus, money maven Suze Orman and comedienne Rosie O'Donnell were there with their partners; "Queer Eye's" Carson Kressley was easily spotted as a standout in the soignée crowd — along with Chicago's powerhouse set, which included Desiree Rogers, John Rogers, Jr., Mellody Hobson, Les Coney, Cheryl Burton and Linda Johnson Rice, who have become fixtures in Chicago’s hot new power firmament."
