SEI Investments [
see profile] just added new sub-advisors and PMs to a pair of its funds. Yesterday the Oaks, Pennsylvania-based firm filed to add Los Angeles-based
del Rey Global Investors to the
International Equity Fund and Philadelphia-based
Delaware Management Company [
see profile] to the
Emerging Markets Equity Fund [
see filing].
A spokesperson for SEI was not immediately able to comment on the moves, and the filing provides no explanation of why SEI added the two sub-advisors.
Paul Hechmer, del Rey's founding partner and chief investment officer, joins International Equity as a PM. The fund already includes a number of other sub-advisors:
Acadian Asset Management,
Causeway Capital Management,
Janus'
Intech Investment Management,
Neuberger Berman,
Quantitative Management Associates,
Schroder Investment Management and
Tradewind Global Investors. (Prior to joining del Rey in 2009, Hechmer spent three years at Tradewind.)
And Delaware's
Liu-Er Chen, senior vice president and chief investment officer of emerging markets and healthcare, joins Emerging Markets Equity. The fund's existing sub-advisors include:
Artisan Partners,
The Boston Company Asset Management,
J O Hambro Capital Management,
Lazard Asset Management and
PanAgora Asset Management, as well as Neuberger.
