Prior to joining DGHM, Gilroy had served as a managing director of institutional sales at Third Avenue Management
since 2009. A spokesperson for Third Avenue said the firm is currently conducting a search to replace Gilroy.
Dunn told The MFWire
that the firm brought Gilroy on board because it is looking to bring its marketing services in-house and end its third party marketing relationship with Ocotillo Capital
"We're well known by consultants in the institutional channel -- hiring Erin will allow us to continue our strong focus there and also allow us to continue to build our foundation in the wealth management channel too," Dunn said. "Clients will get a consistent experience by DGHM taking all marketing in-house."
