Loomis Sayles [
see profile] just gave a new moniker to one of its mutual funds. Today the
Natixis subsidiary filed to immediately re-name the
Loomis Sayles Global Markets Fund as the
Loomis Sayles Global Equity and Income Fund [
see filing].
Erin Heard, a company spokeswoman, confirmed that Loomis is just changing the fund's name, not its strategy.
"[The new name] better reflects the fund's global equity and fixed income securities selection strengths," Heard told
The MFWire. "It better classifies the fund ... It's just a name change."
