Will a Pimco Vet Launch a Massif Rival?

News summary by MFWire's editors

Fundsters interested in Pimco alumni may want to check out Bloomberg today. Miles Weiss reports that John Hague, who started Pimco's international fixed-income business and more over his 18 years at the firm, is trying to recruit other Pimco alums to create a new, more aggressive fixed income manager.

According to Bloomberg, Hague could use Massif Partners, his partnership with FrontPoint Partners co-founder Philip Duff, as the vehicle for the new venture. So who might join? Bloomberg mentions John Brynjolfsson, Paul McCulley, William Powers and Lee Thomas
